The Employers Who Brought Energy Bill Support Into the Office

22 July 2025 | Workplace Energy Advice

In the past year, we have been extremely proud to see companies increasingly recognising the importance of supporting their employees with energy efficiency advice.

This proactive approach taken by employers supports employee wellbeing and creates a positive workplace culture in a cost-effective way. At RES CIC, we’re proud to have partnered with a diverse range of businesses to deliver tailored, fully funded Workplace Energy Advice workshops. These sessions are adaptable, effective, and delivered directly where your teams need them most.

Here are some recent examples of how our programme has made a difference across numerous sectors.

University College Birmingham

“Thanks so much for joining us at UCB – it was really great working with you and Paul.
Both Ashlea and I felt the presentation was incredibly valuable. It really highlighted how much more there is to learn and explore around energy savings, and it’s clear there’s a great opportunity to build on this going forward.

We’re thinking about organising a larger community event, and we’d love to keep you in the loop as we begin planning and building around it.

Thanks again for your time, the pop-up stand, and the presentation – all really well delivered and appreciated!”

Avantika, Sustainability Coordinator at University College Birmingham

Why educational institutions benefit from RES workshops:
  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate busy academic calendars
  • Blended online and in-person delivery, maximising accessibility
  • Opportunities to engage staff, students and wider communities
  • Increased energy awareness, supporting university sustainability goals

Warwickshire County Council

“Thank you to yourself and Paul for the delivery of the 3 Energy Advice Sessions in May for Warwickshire County Council. They were well received with comments in the meeting chats, and compliments on information and delivery by email afterwards ranged from:
‘Thanks, very informative, lots to consider and very helpful’ to email comments e.g. ‘A great presentation for people interested in eco options at home, thank you for organising the session.”

Wilma, Reward & Recognition Officer at Warwickshire County Council

Why local authorities and public sector organisations value RES workshops:
  • Ability to scale sessions for large groups with diverse needs
  • Practical advice tailored to workplaces of all sizes
  • Supporting public sector commitments to reduce carbon emissions
  • Empowering staff to implement energy-efficient habits at work and at home
  • Demonstrating organisational leadership on sustainability

Wincanton/ Screwfix

“From the feedback I’ve received, the night shift at Stafford went well, so I’d like to extend a big thank you to Paul for his continued support.”

Becky, Network Wellbeing and Engagement Advisor at Wincanton/Screwfix

Why logistics and shift-based sectors benefit from RES workshops:
  • Flexibility to deliver workshops outside of standard hours to reach shift workers

  • Enhancing employee wellbeing through cost savings and smarter energy habits
  • Supporting organisational sustainability initiatives
  • Improving overall employee engagement and morale

Michelin Tyres

“We welcomed Matthew from RES to the Stoke industrial site, this was to give our employees the opportunity to understand and make possible energy saving at home.

Matthew was available for a few hours, informing our employees of all the possible benefits of better energy efficiency.

We would like to thank both Matthew and RES for providing the opportunity of understanding all the energy saving tips and options available.

The visit has allowed our employees to learn more, have a better understanding of what is available and who the best people are to contact if needed.”

Peter – Workforce & Development Partner, MichelinTyre Public Limited Company

Why manufacturing sectors benefit from RES workshops:
  • Adaptable to large, complex work environments like factories
